cool – almost silhouettes.
When I see that many at once I’m always a little creeped out.
Nice capture Pat!
Oh my, now that makes for an interesting shot of a barn!
Nice capture of the flying vultures…made even better by a barn.
Are these black vultures? I know that there are only 2 or 3 vulture species in the Americas.
Fantastic capture Pat!
Wow, amazing capture!
PS. If you happen to be a match for our online photography gallery (some sort of mental health connection), we’d love to feature this or other photos you have taken. Check it out if you get a spare moment and let me know if you have any questions.
I like the light on wings of the bird in the upper left. Great capture!
beautiful capture!
Such beautiful creatures! Their wing spans are amazing. Wonderful shot.
vultures and a barn, perfect! we’ve had a lot of vultures hanging around here too lately. in fact, yesterday i took my dog for a walk in there were 5 snacking on a dead squirrel in the road. as we approached, the flew off one at a time but one stayed there and only walked away as we past. he was the brave one. i was wishing i had my camera on me!
Nice capture! There are veltures which have various flying styles. I like the velture which is in upper left in your photo.
I had to laugh. The picture was of a wake of vultures. The youtube video below (which I did not watch) showed several basketball players all tangled up in a fall… vultures after the ball, no doubt. hehe.
It’s nice seeing all the various positions of the wings. I shudder to think what their meal was. :/
This is a neat photo…love it! I like the green roofed barn, too.
Great shot, Pat, especially with the barn in it.
I never realized that vultures were this big.
Great flight photo!
Nice flight shot!
That’s funny! Great shot following along behind the Vultures.
WOW! Pat, what a wonderful photo. We tried to ‘capture’ a flock ducks landing in the water today….but missed it!!
Beautiful (and very useful) birds and the perfect backdrop to your charming barn.
Great action shot!! Boom & Gary of the Vermilon River, Canada.
I’m always happy to find out that they aren’t looking for me!
Yikes! Those things freak me out. We had a bunch swooping in our yard over the summer. They were after bird nests. Shudder. Get photo!!
Great photo of the vultures in-flight – but what had they been eating?
Something spooked them… Quick w/ the camera! =)
A fine capture of these birds. Being disturbed gives us idea of their persistence in getting prey.
That is a wonderful shot! I love the whole feel of this.
What an awesome sight! Wow! Thanks for sharing.
I love to see birds in flight. Nice shot!
Great shot Pat! I always have trouble distinguishing vultures from crows in the air. They look very similar in flight.
Your photography is gorgeous!
They look very spooky don’t they? Great shot!
There is something only a mother vulture could love about those faces… Thank you for linking into Nature Notes Pat… Michelle
I love watching vultures whether soaring high on a thermal or roosting en masse in the swamp or perched in a tree. Great capture!

Although there were no vultures on the movie, Hitchcock just came to my mind.
Great capture!
