I grew up on a farm and there were many farm cats around, mostly strays. They were all outdoor cats and could come and go as they pleased, but over the years, a handful became “our” pets because they stayed permanently. We took good care of them.
He certainly is posing pretty for you! Purr-fect fence photo!
The only cat our family ever had (she actually had us!) was named Bright Eyes by our youngest son when he was about 5 years old. She was a feral cat but maybe had been someone’s at one time. She was chased under a fence by dogs and lost an ear ….it was after that when she came to us. I don’t know how many years she was here, but one day she just disappeared. This photo of yours resembles Bright Eyes so much.
