Wee Flower

The smallest flower is a thought, a life answering to some feature of the Great Whole, of whom they have a persistent intuition.

Dandelion

The First Dandelion

Simple and fresh and fair from winter’s close emerging,

As if no artifice of fashion, business, politics, had ever been,

Forth from its sunny nook of shelter’d grass–innocent, golden, calm as the dawn,

The spring’s first dandelion shows its trustful face.

Flowering Crabapple Tree

I used to have a beautiful pink cloud of blossoms from a flowering crabapple tree outside my window. Then a powerful wind ripped the tree in half.

At least, I still have some pictures of its lovely flowers.
